WIN A HEIFER:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) What about TB testing? The Okeover herd passed the whole herd test in August and the prize heifer will be pre-movement tested at a cost to ACS. If any other disease testing is lawfully required, such as bluetongue, then that too will be tested for at a cost to ACS.
2) Is there a cash alternative to winning the heifer? No, however it would be possible to arrange to sell the heifer in a suitable livestock market. The winner would receive the sale price with market costs and transport deducted from this.
3) What about blood testing? Any test that is lawfully required for movements will be carried out at a cost to ACS, if any other tests are requested by the prize-winner, then that will be carried out but at the cost to the prize-winner.
4) I live in Ireland, can I take part? Sadly not, whether Ireland or Northern Ireland; to arrange the export of the heifer is just too complicating.
5) I don't have a PayPal account... No problem! When you press 'Buy Ticket' you will have an option to pay via your PayPal account or bank card.
6) How old do you have to be to buy a ticket? You must be 18 years or over. (Rules of a lottery licence)
7) How does my cash ticket get added to the on-line draw? If you have bought a ticket in person, in the traditional way, you hold on to your ticket and that is your ticket number. All tickets, sold in person, by cash, will be added to the on-line draw using the information given on the ticket stubb.
8) Do I have to have a holding number? It's good if you do have one but please note Question 2. Also, it may be that you are able to arrange to keep the heifer on someone else's holding.
9) If I win the heifer, what about collection? Richard Toon has kindly agreed to keep the heifer for 30 days after the prize draw to allow for disease testing amongst other plans. Collection is at the cost to the prize-winner.
10) What are the full conditions of this raffle?
