Albion Weekend! Friday 7th & Saturday 8th July.

6-30pm: Welcome and Dinner

Location: The Footprint, St Catherine's, Windermere. LA23 1NH: Must be pre-booked!

Saturday, 8th July.

10-00am: Albion Cattle meeting.

Venue: Cumbria Wildlife Trust Head Office, Plumgarths, Crook Road, Kendal. LA8 8LX

12-30: Lunch: follows on at the same venue.

1-30pm: Tour of High Lickbarrow farm and the Scout Beck herd of Albions.

Venue: High Lickbarrow Farm, LA23 2NG

N.B. This is only 3 miles away from where the meeting is but does not have good parking. We encourage you to make use of the excellent parking facilities at the Cumbria Wildlife Office and to make use of car sharing to drive up to see the farm and albions.

3-30pm: Conclusion.

Directions to Wildlife Office:

From the M6 heading north:
  • leave the M6 at junction 36 and take the first exit towards Kendal on the roundabout

  • follow the A591 for 3 miles until the next roundabout

  • at the roundabout take the first exit signed to Crook

  • after 100 metres turn right into Plumgarths.

From the M6 heading south:
  • leave the M6 at junction 39

  • follow the A6 into Kendal

  • go right at the mini roundabout following signs for Windermere

  • go straight on at the traffic lights

  • follow the road around the bend to the right and go straight on at the traffic lights

  • head up Windermere Road until you reach a roundabout

  • take the second exit at the roundabout signed to Crook

  • after 100 metres turn right into Plumgarths.

From the A591 heading south:
  • from Windermere continue staight on the A591

  • at the roundabout get into the right-hand lane and take the third exit signed to Crook

  • after 100 metres turn right into Plumgarths.
